I can't believe it's been almost 5 years since I joined DA, I don't really remember my reason for joining, but, I'm glad I did. I have meet so many amazing writers and artists! I have also been introduced to works I wouldn't normally seek out. I have only been posting actively for just over 2 years. DA also got me back into writting, which I am so grateful for! I have really missed writting, I am also glad that there are so many other fan fiction writers here. It was ll of them that helped to inspire me to pick up the pen again, well, more pick up the keyboard again
lol. I honestly don't even remember how I found that first fan fiction, but, boy, am I glad I did. Until then, I had thought DA was only for artists, I had never really thought of writing as an art form. But, I am also more than a writer, I'm a crocheter, a sewer, a jewelry designer, a decoden artist and an amateur clay and drawing artist. There are so many forms of art out there to celebrate and learn about and I am so glad DA is here to introduce me to new forms of art!
Now on to my top five favorite submissions!! Sadly, a couple of the stories I wanted to share were removed, but I still have lots of others to choose from!
keep in mind, there are in no particular order.This is one of my favs because I put a lot of myself in it. I was feeling particularly low the day I wrote this. I have also gotten tons of comments from readers who have been able to relate to the story and have shared their experiences with me. A few people have even said this has helped them to feel better about themselves, which is just such a super, huge honor! Even I love to go back and re-read it when I've had a particularly bad day, always makes me feel a little better!
I chose this one, because it was myfirst completed chapter story on DA, it is also the longest. Though there are some chapters that are weaker than others, all in all, I was very happy with the way it came out!
I chose this one, because, again, I'm not just a writer. This is one of my favorite amigurumis that I have made. I also chose it, because not everything I do is Hetalia or fan art, though 90% of it is! Lol. Besides, how can you not love a mini octopus in a sailor hat?
This is another favorite one-shot that I wrote. I tried to put a lot of emotion into it. Even I cried while writing it! I listened to that song, I don't know how many times while I wrote this, but, this is what the song made me think of when I heard it the first time.
I chose this one because of all the potential it has. I really want to do a great job on this one! Though it may end up being rather short, I really want it to be one of my better fan fics. I know a lot of my readers have asked me to continue this one, and I will, I just have 2 other stories I want to finish before I dive into this one.
And there you have it, my DA story! I really have loved all my time here on DA, all the people I have had the chance to talk to, all the wonderful stories I have been able to read. It really has been a most positive experience! Who knows hoe long I will continue to post to DA, but I hope it's a long time! I guess as long as people continue to read what I write, I will continue to post!
